October TBR

I have been bad at setting TBR's lately because I kind of just end up reading whatever I'm in the mood for (or whatever recommendation strikes my squirrel brain) instead. But there are a few books that I absolutely want to read this month, come Hell or high water.

First off, there are a few books from my #sapphicseptember tbr that I didn't get through:

Play to Kiss by Arizona Tape

This is book 1 in the Twisted Series, and is a lesbian romance between two princesses with some dark themes and FF spicy times. That's all I know, but it sounds good, and I really hope I enjoy it enough to continue the series.

Room for Three by Katrina Jackson

I am currently reading the second book in this Erotic Accomodations series, Neighborly, and it is amazing. Katrina Jackson has a way with writing polyamory, and I can't wait to follow up with this book. (This one is in KU!)

Then there's my #latinxbookbingo books for Latinx Heritage Month:

A Lot Like Adios by Alexis Daria

This is the sequel to You Had Me at Hola, and I'm pretty sure the heroine is bisexual. That's all I know! But I loved You Had Me at Hola, so this was a pre-order, insta-buy for me.

Serving Sin by Angelina M. Lopez

This is the last book I have left in the Filthy Rich series. These all feature incredible heroines who are absolutely killing it in their fields and make tropey arrangements with men they eventually fall in love with. Book 1 has a marriage of convenience because the heroine wants to have a baby with a man who is happy to be a father to her child but won't have any interest in staying married to her. Book 2 is a fake dating scheme between a rockstar who needs to rehabilitate his image and the ex-girlfriend who needs their combined notoriety to bring attention and donors to her struggling winery. I'm excited to see what book 3 has in store for me.

Keep Me Close by R.M. Virtues

Book two in the Gods of Hunger series! This one is a romance between Aphrodite and Hephaestus, and I think it's an enemies to lovers? Super excited for it. A little afraid to finish it not knowing when book three is going to come out.

Here to Stay by Adriana Herrera

Adriana Herrera is another one of my 1-click / insta-buy authors. I absolutely loved the Dreamers series, and the wlw Her Night with Santa book was a short, amazing Christmas novella. This one is an enemies to lovers workplace romance, and I am really excited for it!

The Lady of Royale Street by Thea de Salle

This is the third and final book in the NOLA Nights series, and honestly I've been putting it off because I don't want to be done with these. I absolutely adored the first two books, and I don't want them to be over, especially since Thea de Salle doesn't have anything else out there yet. This book features Sol's brother from book 1 ... the angry, uptight, religious brother. I can't wait to see the heroine break down his walls.

Twice the Growl by Milly Taiden OMG A paranormal MMF, plus-sized woman book 1 in a series??? And it's in KU??? That's it. 1-click.

Did you know October is also Filipino Heritage Month? I don't have a full TBR for this one, although I'm looking forward to adding some Filipino Romance that I'll try to keep you all updated on. For now, though, I know without a doubt that I will be reading:

The Bronzed Beasts by Roshani Chokshi

This is the third and final book in The Gilded Wolves series, and I have been dying for it since The Silvered Serpents left me on that cliffhanger. If you aren't familiar with these, they are a YA heist series that just has so much nuance, and I love the relationships between the characters. And omg, I just love all of the characters in general!

Lastly, a few books that have to make it onto the TBR simply because I am so excited to read them.

If She Says Yes by Tasha Harrison

Older woman, younger man. Best friend's mom?! Wedding hook-up?

Love Unexpected by Q.B. Tyler

I love Q.B. Tyler's writing style. I don't read much taboo romance (because I'm not as edgy as I'd like to think I am), but whew ... The Bittersweet duet and Unconditional by Q.B. Tyler had me sweating. This is an age gap, forbidden / taboo romance with a step-father and a much younger woman after her mom's death. I have a feeling this one is going to be a lot. I trust Q.B. Tyler and have heard nothing but good things, so I AM READY.

What do you have on your TBR this month? Or are you just a mood reader? Let me know which book(s) you're most excited about, or if you've read any of the ones on my list!
